My name is Carla Ledbetter, and I am a writer of women suspense novels.  Writing and reading are as much a part of me as my name.  As a reader, I like nothing better than to pick up a great book, open the cover, and become so involved in the story that I can't put the book down until I finish the last page! 

That is my goal as a writer--to immerse you so totally into the storyline and characters that you can't or won't put the book down until you've devoured the last word!  My favorite reader complaint is that she or he stayed up until the wee hours of the morning reading my latest book!  When that happens, I know I've done my job--and so has the reader!

Growing up in the wonderful city of New Orleans, Louisiana provided me with tons of information and added fuel to my already overactive imagination!  All of my novels include something I've either experienced, or read about while growing up in New Orleans!

You might suspect that all of my novels have one underlying theme.  Guess what-- they do!  It's the idea that ALL women, regardless of race, age, or marital status, have an inner strength that lies dormant until needed.  All my heroines must either rely on their inner strength or learn to tap into that strength in order to survive the circumstances in which they find themselves.  I might thrill them, chill them, but I'll never, ever kill them!

Journey with me into the wonderful world of storytelling, where anything can and does happen!  Be prepared though, for the ride is bound to be funny, thrilling, and exhilarating!
